Meet our Founder
Habilitating Hands, Inc and Habilitating Hands Guardianship Services, Inc was founded in March 2006 by Deanna Arendt. Deanna has been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for the past thirty years and a Medical Case Manager for the past twenty years. In 2006, Deanna decided to pursue her own Medical Case Management and Guardianship Corporation due to her strong desire to serve the elderly and disabled population. Deanna is passionate about her work and she works closely with consulting physicians, nurses and therapists to provide comprehensive Case Management Services. She also serves as an agent for Corporate Guardianship of the Person. She is a strong advocate for her disabled clients and works very closely with family members and medical professionals involved in her client’s care to ensure that their highest quality of life is achieved.

Deanna’s past experience involved working at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago with Traumatic Brain Injury and General Rehabilitation Units. Her area of expertise as a COTA/L has included individuals with traumatic brain injuries, amputations, spinal cord injury, cerebral vascular accidents (CVA’s) and mental illness.
